To whom did God give the promise?
The Bible always works through “God’s chosen people,” and when they apostatize, He judges them, and then He definitely creates a new people.
- Revelation 6 – Apostasy and destruction of the old chosen people
The chosen people (the stars of the heavenly tabernacle, the sun and moon) who were chosen at the beginning apostatized and forsook God’s will in Revelation 6.
As a result, God judges them. The sun becomes black, the moon becomes blood, and the stars fall to the ground.
This symbolizes the destruction of the chosen people, that is, the end of the heavenly tabernacle church.
The expression that the heavens were departed and the mountains and islands were moved means
that the dwelling place where God protected and lived has departed from God.
- Revelation 7 – Creation of the new chosen people: 144,000 and the white multitude
God does not simply end after judgment.
He prepares a new beginning.
The 144,000 who are sealed: These are those who are born again through the Word. They are those who have received the Word of God, the Seal, on their foreheads.
The White Crowd: Those who have heard their testimony and washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.
They did not come out simply because of emotion or belief, but because they saw, heard, and believed the reality of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation.
In other words, they are those who responded to the fulfilled Word.
Those who saw the prophecies come true in reality,
and followed the words of those who testified to them.
This structure also resembles the process of the wilderness and the conquest of Canaan after the Exodus in the Old Testament.
The fallen crowd of the past is destroyed, and the new crowd who follows to the end with faith and obedience obtains the promised land.
- Revelation 21 – The Reality of the Holy City, New Jerusalem
The Holy City, New Jerusalem, the place prepared by God for His dwelling, is not a literal city,
but a community of people who will live with God.
It is a place where there is no tears, death, or suffering. (Rev 21:4)
The city was pure gold, the foundations were precious stones, and the twelve gates were the names of the twelve tribes…
What is more important than the appearance is who can live there.
There is only one qualification to live there.
The people created according to the Word,
namely the 144,000 and the white multitude of Revelation 7.
Because they have God’s throne before them,
and they serve God day and night,
and the Lamb is their shepherd and leads them to the spring of the water of life. (Rev 7:15-17)
✅ So, what does it have to do with me?
The Bible is not a religious story.
It is God’s plan and promise for our past, present, and future.
So what is important?
Where do I belong now?
Am I seeing, hearing, and believing the reality of the revelation that has come true according to the Word?
Am I washing my robes in the blood of the Lamb and making them white?
Is the seal of God engraved on my forehead?
The Holy City, New Jerusalem, is not a place that anyone can enter. It is not a city that falls from the sky, but a community of those who have been newly created according to the Word.
