The Fruit of God in the Bible

Are you bearing fruit now?
You believe in Jesus, go to church, pray, and serve…

But can you confidently answer the question, “Are you bearing fruit?”

Jesus clearly said,
“If a tree is good, its fruit will be good, and if a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.”

And he added,
“By their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:20)

God says that He looks at ‘fruit.’
So what exactly is a ‘fruitful life’?

Today, let’s look at the Bible to understand its true meaning.

Many people understand fruit as actions or results.
“Oh, how many people did I evangelize to?”
“How much did I volunteer?”
“How much did I give in donations.”

Of course, that can also be fruit.

However, the real fruit that Jesus spoke of is on a much deeper level.

📖 James 1:18
“According to his will he brought us forth by the word of truth,
so that we should be the first fruits of his creation.”

What is ‘fruit’ here?
It is not simply the result of something, but a being born again by the word of God,
that is, a ‘born-again saint.’

In other words, a person who receives the word of truth from God and engraves it in his heart,
and is born again by that word,
this person becomes the first fruit of God.

Jesus also said this.

📖 Matthew 12:33-35
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good,
or make the tree bad and its fruit bad,
for by its fruit you will know the tree.”

“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart,
and an evil man brings evil things out of his evil.”

The ‘fruit’ mentioned here is words (言).

The words that come out of a person’s mouth are the fruit that reveals that person’s identity.

And depending on whether those words are the words of truth or false untruths,
the person is distinguished as the tree of life or the tree of good and evil.

Are your words
the words of life that save others?
Or are you speaking untruths that I assume God’s will is like this?

When I see the words, I see the tree.
When I see the words, I see the roots.
In the end, it reveals what kind of seeds have been sown within me.

📖 John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches.
If a man abides in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit;
for apart from me you can do nothing.”

A life that truly bears fruit
is one that abides in Jesus.
A life that eats the words of Jesus, takes root in them,
and lives according to the will of Jesus.
That person is bound to bear fruit.

And in the last days, God says that He will distinguish between those who have ‘borne fruit’ and those who have ‘not borne fruit.’

📖 Revelation 14:4
“These are the firstfruits redeemed from among men,
who belong to God and to the Lamb…”

Who are these ‘firstfruits’?
They are those who have been reborn through the word of truth,
and who have lived according to the guidance of Jesus.

They are harvested as ‘firstfruits’ and gathered in the heavenly barn, Mount Zion.

Now we must ask ourselves:

Am I planting the word of God in my heart right now?

Am I a fruit born of truth,
or am I just a tare with a nice shell?

Jesus said,
“A good tree bears good fruit,
and a bad tree bears bad fruit.”

You can know a tree by its fruit.

Are you living a fruitful life right now?

You who are watching this video right now,
maybe God is calling you.
The Bible says,
“When the harvest is ready, gather the grain and put it in the storehouse.”

Now is the time to
hear the word of truth, take it to heart,
and live the life of the first fruits as a child of God.

As a true branch of Jesus,
let the word of truth flow from your mouth.

That is the life of bearing fruit,
a life that enters heaven.
