“The voice you hear in your head right now… Whose voice is it?”
Everyone, I’ll tell you a shocking fact. In this day and age, many Christians say they believe in God, but in reality, they are being deceived by the spirit of Satan.
“What are you talking about? I go to church every week and pray?”
Wait a minute. If you listen to the end to find out what I’m saying, your spiritual eyes will be completely opened.
Many people will probably feel uncomfortable when they hear this story. You might say, “This is too extreme,” or “This sounds like a heresy.”
However, everyone, I’m going to talk only about the Bible today. I won’t include even 1% of my personal thoughts or speculations. I just want to confirm together what the Bible says, the amazing truth.
If you watch this video to the end, you will have a completely different spiritual discernment than you have had before.
Think about it. What if you say you believe in God, but in reality, you are being deceived by Satan? Is there anything more frightening than that?
“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not speak in your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you.'” (Matthew 7:22-23)
Aren’t these words of Jesus creepy? To those who claim to believe in the Lord, “I don’t know you”?
“No, so all the pastors and theologians up until now have been wrong?”
You may think this way. Of course. I thought so at first.
But when you look at the Bible, you will find a surprising fact. Let’s look at 2 Corinthians 11:14-15.
“For Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore, it is not a great thing if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.”
Wow… Satan does not just appear as a devil, but as an angel of light, and his servants disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.
So, on the outside, they may look like God’s people, but in reality, they may be servants of Satan. This is the shocking truth that the Bible speaks of.
So how on earth can we distinguish them?
1 John 4:1: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
The Bible clearly says not to believe every spirit. Why? Because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Now, what is important here? It is the word “test”. What do we test with?
Let me give you an example. Let’s say you go to the market and buy some fruit. The outside is red and delicious, but when you cut it open, the inside is rotten. You can’t tell just by looking at the outside. You have to cut it open to know.
The same goes for spiritual things. On the outside, it seems like a man of God, and it seems like he is preaching the word… You have to confirm whether what he is preaching is really the word of God.
So what is the difference between the spirit of God and the spirit of Satan?
First, the spirit of God speaks the truth. John 17:17: “Your word is truth.”
The Spirit of God always delivers the truth as it is. It neither adds nor subtracts.
Second, the spirit of Satan speaks lies.
John 8:44: “You are of your father the devil… He is a liar and the father of lies.”
Satan is the father of lies. But there is something to be careful of. If Satan were 100% lying, it would be easy to tell the difference, right?
But Satan is clever. He mixes 90% truth with 10% lies. It’s like giving poison in a sweet drink.
Let me give you an example. What did the serpent say when he tempted Eve in Genesis?
“Did God really say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden?'” (Genesis 3:1)
Look. God said, “Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,” but Satan slightly changed the words, saying, “Did I tell you not to eat from any tree?” This is Satan’s method.
So how does this actually happen?
Let’s look at the time of the first coming. At that time, the religious leaders, the Pharisees and scribes, were the people who knew the Bible better than anyone else. They read, taught, and memorized the Bible every day.
But when Jesus, the Messiah prophesied in the Bible, came, what did they do?
“Then the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill him” (Matthew 12:14)
Isn’t it shocking? Those who supposedly knew God’s Word the best tried to kill the Son of God…
Why did this happen? It was because the spirit they followed was not the Spirit of God, but the spirit of Satan.
What did Jesus say to them? “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.” (John 8:44)
He said to the religious leaders, “Your father is the devil.” Do you know how shocking this is?
So, what should we do today?
First, we should not doubt unconditionally, but “test” them.
The Bible says, “Do not believe every spirit, but test them,” not “Doubt every spirit.” The only standard for testing is the Bible.
Second, we should see the reality of the fulfillment of the word.
During the first coming of Jesus, those who saw the reality of the Old Testament prophecies being fulfilled through Jesus became true believers.
Third, we should seek the truth with a humble heart.
“If anyone wants to do God’s will, he must know whether the teaching is from God or whether I speak on my own.” (John 7:17)
When we have a pure heart, a heart that wants to do God’s will, we can distinguish between the real and the fake.
Dear friends, this is a time of spiritual warfare.
The Holy Spirit of God and the evil spirit of Satan, these two gods are fighting over our souls.
The problem is that Satan so cleverly pretends to be God. That is why many believers are deceived.
But do not be afraid. We have the Word of truth.
If we test with the Word and confirm the reality that comes true according to the Word, we will definitely be able to distinguish between the Spirit of God and the spirit of Satan.
Some of you may feel uncomfortable listening to this Word today. However, that discomfort can actually be the beginning that leads you to salvation.
“My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).
The true sheep of Jesus recognize the voice of Jesus.
I earnestly pray that your spiritual ears will be opened today, that you will hear the voice of Jesus, the true shepherd, and that you will be led by the Spirit of God to the path of true salvation.
Until the day we go to heaven, let us stay awake with the Word together!
