《Discern the Two Gods, the Holy Spirit of God and the Evil Spirit of Satan》
To all who desire heaven, are you at peace?
Today, I will talk about the ‘two gods’ that believers must discern,
namely, the Holy Spirit of God and the evil spirit of Satan.
These two entities are invisible,
but they are real entities that lead our lives and faith in completely different ways.
What kind of spirit are we being led by right now?
Let’s find out the truth through the Bible.
1️⃣ Why do we need to discern the two gods?
God is the only Creator.
However, the Bible warns of the existence of “Satan”, “the devil”, and “false prophets” in addition to God.
Why is that?
Let’s look at 1 John 4:1:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit,
but test the spirits to see whether they are from God,
because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Yes.
There are spirits that belong to God,
and spirits that look like God but belong to Satan.
Therefore, even if we have faith,
we are not necessarily safe, and we must discern the identity of the spirit.
2️⃣ Two Gods in the Bible: Holy Spirit vs. Evil Spirit
First, the Spirit of God, that is, the Holy Spirit, is the spirit that gives life.
John 6:63 says:
“It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit and life.”
Word = Spirit = Life.
The Holy Spirit gives us life through the Word and leads us to the truth.
On the contrary, the evil spirit of Satan deceives us with lies and leads us to destruction.
In John 8:44, Jesus said:
“You are of your father the devil…
He was a murderer from the beginning, and when he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because there is no truth in him,
for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Evil spirits do not have the truth.
So they distort the truth and deceive us by pretending to be God.
3️⃣ Does Satan pretend to be God?
In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, the apostle Paul warns:
“And no wonder.
Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light.
So it is no great thing if his ministers also disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness.”
Satan appears disguised as a man of God,
as a minister of the truth.
So we must deeply remember that some people may preach the word,
but in reality they may be moved by evil spirits, not the Spirit of God.
4️⃣ So how can we discern?
The Spirit of God testifies to the word of truth.
John 17:17:
“Your word is truth.”
However, the spirit of Satan adds to, subtracts from, or distorts the word. In Revelation 22:18-19:
“If you add to or take away from the words of this prophecy, you will suffer disaster.”
Therefore,
we should not look at who that person is,
but at whether the words he testifies are ‘the truth fulfilled in the Bible.’
5️⃣ Example of the First Coming: Jesus vs. Religious Leaders
During the First Coming, Jesus preached the truth by the Spirit of God.
However, the religious leaders condemned Jesus as a heretic.
In the end, who was right?
The fulfillment of the words Jesus testified to, that is, the reality, was the truth.
6️⃣ Application for Today
Then, today,
we must confirm not only the prophecy, but also the reality of the fulfillment of the prophecy,
and discern the spirit belonging to God and the spirit belonging to Satan.
At this time of fulfillment of the Word,
we must discern whether the Word we hear is the Word of life conveyed by the Spirit of God,
or a distorted Word created by the spirit of Satan,
so that we can become true believers.
🔚 Conclusion
Beloved,
there are two gods on this earth.
God’s Holy Spirit (Holy Spirit),
and
Satan’s evil spirit (evil spirit).
The standard for whose spirit we are led to live a life of faith should not be the words of men,
but the Word of the Bible.
Those who testify to the Word that was fulfilled according to the Bible,
and show the reality of that Word,
are those who belong to the Spirit of God.
In this age,
I earnestly pray that you will become saints who correctly discern
the two gods and stand on God’s side.
