“What sin have you committed?”
This statement often sounds like comfort. It is also a statement intended to protect the other person. But are we really sinless? This question is not a matter of emotion, but a fundamental issue that is directly related to the life and death of the soul.
Romans 3:23
The Bible firmly states,
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
This is a declaration that all mankind, without exception, is under sin.
So where did this sin begin?
God created mankind as sinless beings. However, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s word and followed the words of the serpent, Satan, and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the sin of disobedience entered the world (Genesis 3). This is the original sin, and mankind was placed in death as a result.
The suffering, anxiety, and death that we experience today are ultimately the result of sin. However, God promised a way of salvation that can resolve this sin.
The New Testament testifies that the promise was fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5).
Jesus shed His blood on the cross, and His blood forgave our sins. But this is not the end.
Isaiah 53:5-6
Revelation 1:5 testifies:
“…who loved us and freed us from our sins by His own blood…”
This blood is not just a past event, but must be connected to the Word that was revealed in the time of revelation to be effective. In the New Testament, the Book of Revelation, the promised shepherd appears, opens the prophesied Word, and testifies to the reality of the fulfillment, thereby completing the history of salvation.
Revelation 1:5
Today, Christians say:
“If you just believe, you will be saved.”
“What sin have you committed? Just live a good life.”
But the Bible does not say that. Rather, Revelation 22:18-19 warns that if you add or subtract from the Word, you will not be able to enter heaven. It says that only those who hear the Word and keep it are freed from sin and qualified to enter heaven.
Revelation 22:18-19
Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, testifies to the reality of the fulfilled Revelation today and clearly conveys the true path of sin and salvation. The Word is proven not through simple faith, but through prophecy, fulfillment, and evidence of substance.
Now we must ask ourselves:
“Can I really say that I am sinless?”
“Do I know the true way to resolve that sin?”
“Am I qualified to enter the kingdom that God has promised?”
My dear readers, words of comfort are good, but truth must be faced as truth.
A greater love than the words, “What sin have you committed?” is the Word of God that frees us from sin.
